Harvey Deaton

Harvey was diagnosed with a T4N1M0 squamous tumour under his tongue in May 2023. He was successfully treated with the “gold standard” of 35 radiotherapy and 3 chemotherapy (Cisplatin) at the Leeds Cancer Centre. A keen golfer, he volunteers for Oracle HNCUK to give back to the wider patient and clinician community, sharing his passion to improve awareness of the disease, treatments and preventions available. Harvey retired from BT in 2021 where he had a varied 40 year career from apprentice to Director of Professional Services. He splits his time between living in Leeds and Cabo Roig in Spain with his wife, has 2 sons and 3 grandchildren.
