About Us

Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK is the leading head and neck cancer charity in the United Kingdom. Our vision is to improve the quality of life and outcomes for head and neck cancer patients throughout the UK, addressing the current crisis in head and neck cancer care. We will do this by enabling greater awareness, knowledge and understanding of Head and Neck cancers.

"The end goal for all Head and Neck cancer surgeons (and of course patients) is for research to reveal improved early detection, minimally invasive techniques that offer patients faster recovery times, striking improvements on quality of life as well as providing emotional and wellness support services. Collaborative working is not just a worthwhile objective, it may be the only way to deliver successful and effective patient care."

Immaculate Jeyakumar (Oracle volunteer ambassador) sums how we feel

But we can't do this without you!

Our Approach: The RACE to Overcome

We work across four key pillars, represented by the acronym RACE:

Research: Supporting projects that drive greater understanding of head and neck cancers, improve treatments, and address unmet needs.

Awareness: Delivering and supporting campaigns to increase public knowledge of head and neck cancers.

Collaboration: Promoting knowledge sharing and establishing best practices within the head and neck cancer community.

Engagement with Patients and Carers: Focusing on understanding and improving the patient and carer experience.

Our Unique Culture

At Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK, we pride ourselves on our innovative and dynamic approach:

Holistic Perspective: We act as a connector in the healthcare network, bringing together patients, carers, healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers to create a 360-degree view of head and neck cancer care.

Action-Oriented: We're not just about identifying problems; we're about delivering solutions. Our team is dedicated to making real, tangible improvements in the lives of those affected by head and neck cancer.

Collaborative Spirit: In an often siloed healthcare landscape, we actively break down barriers and foster collaboration between different stakeholders.

Patient-centred: We ensure that the patient voice is at the heart of everything we do, from research priorities to awareness campaigns.

Agile and Responsive: We employ a "build, measure, learn" approach, allowing us to quickly adapt to new challenges and opportunities in the field.
