2016 Supporter Research Event
Over 60 supporters joined the team of Oracle researchers and staff to hear about the latest innovations in head and neck cancer projects funded by Oracle Cancer Trust. The event was held in mid-October at The ICR in Fulham Road and supporters heard presentations by Oracle funded project leaders Professor Caroline Springer, Professor Uwe Oelfke, Dr Imran Petkar and Professor Kevin Harrington. The team of PhD researchers and post-doctoral clinical fellows were on hand following the presentations to present their projects to supporters.
Says Oracle supporter and fundraiser Jill Loveday “My family and I found the event fascinating and felt very heartened by the amount of research being done on head and neck cancer by Oracle Cancer Trust. All the presentations were very accessible to us lay people too! Above all, everyone was so friendly and welcoming and along with wine and delicious nibbles, it made for a very enjoyable event”
The 2017 Oracle Research Evening will be planned for next Autumn and Oracle looks forward to welcoming friends and supporters to our annual event.
