A Magical Christmas Concert at Lumley Castle Raises Over £3,500 for Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK!
On Saturday, 30th November 2024, the magnificent Lumley Castle was filled with festive joy as the 3rd Annual Christmas Carol Concert brought together a vibrant community of music lovers, raising an incredible £3,500 in support of Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK.
Enchanting line-up of performers
The event featured an enchanting line-up of performers, including:
- Sunderland Male Voice Choir
- Newbottle Primary Academy
- NASUWT Riverside Brass Band
- Sean Middleton on the fiddle
- A captivating original poem by published author Dominic Wright
Guests enjoyed mulled wine and festive treats as they basked in the heartwarming performances. A highlight of the evening was the raffle, made possible by the generous support of local businesses, including Hotel Indigo Durham, Lumley Castle, The Copthorne Newcastle, Namco Metro Centre, and many more.
Tamara Kahn, CEO of Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK, expressed her gratitude:
“We are thrilled by the fantastic turnout for this special event. The funds raised will help provide essential care and support ground breaking research. Huge thanks to Suzanne Miller, our lead volunteer and organiser, and to all the talented performers who gave their time to make this night magical!”
