Seeking Specialists for Head & Neck Cancer Late Effects Guidelines

A new initiative being led by Emma Hallam and Sabina Khan, Consultant Therapeutic Radiographers) is underway to develop national best practice guidelines for managing late effects of head and neck cancer treatment. We’re seeking experienced nurses, surgeons, dieticians, specialist dentists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists to join this important project.

The project will create evidence-based guidance across 18 key areas including Mental Health, Speech & Swallow, Lymphoedema, Dental Care, and Pain Management. Participants can join either:

How much commitment is required?

Core Working Group (12-month commitment, 3hrs/month + virtual meetings) or Advisory Group (flexible involvement in guidance development)

Collaboration

Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK works with a wide range of stakeholders in the NHS, patient groups, pharmaceutical and 3rd sector to improve best practices in dealing with head and neck cancers. Through collaboration and knowledge sharing we hope to reduce the inequalities in outcomes across the UK and improve diagnosis/survival rates for patients.
