Bringing the UK’s head and neck oncology community together
The Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK Oncology Meeting 2026 takes place tomorrow, Friday 25th September, at The Milner Hotel, York.
Now in its third year under the Oracle umbrella, this free educational meeting brings together head and neck oncology specialists from around 40 centres across the UK, spanning radiography, nursing, clinical and medical oncology, surgery, dentistry, speech and language therapy, and radiology, for a full day of expert-led sessions.
The programme, independently developed by our Scientific Oncology Steering Committee and chaired by Dr Robin Prestwich, covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Elective neck radiotherapy and de-escalation strategies
- New national late effects guidelines
- A dedicated BAHNO session, held in partnership with The British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists, featuring the latest on transoral surgery following the PATHOS Trial
- Developments in systemic therapy, including cancer vaccines and immuno-oncology pathways
- Palliative radiotherapy approaches, including several national trials and studies
- "The Great York Project Competition," showcasing five outstanding submissions with strong potential to change clinical practice
Attendees will also hear from our Executive Director, Julie Child, with an update on Oracle's work and upcoming projects, including our HPV awareness campaign, expanded corporate screening programme, and the launch of a new website.
