Eating well after head and neck cancer treatment: join our November webinar

Tuesday 3 November 2026
18:00 - 19:00

After surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy, many people with head and neck cancer find swallowing hard, or find that some foods no longer feel right. It can be upsetting. Eating out with friends and family, once a pleasure, can start to feel like something to avoid, which can leave people feeling more isolated.

Our November webinar looks at what can help. Florence Cook has been a head and neck specialist dietitian at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for over 10 years. She will talk about diet after treatment and what people can try. Peter Russell, a patient and an Oracle Voice, will share his own experience of handling social situations.

Florence is also a PhD student at University College London, researching feeding practices after reconstructive flap surgery, and chairs the British Dietetic Association’s Head and Neck Oncology subgroup.
