World Head & Neck Cancer Awareness day 2024
Yesterday, we had the privilege of presenting a lunch and learn session on Head and Neck cancers at Merck & Co. Our mission? To spread awareness about key symptoms and promote the importance of monthly self-checks. #HeadNeckCheck
We can’t stress enough how crucial it is to visit www.headneckcheck.com and make self-checks a part of your routine. Early detection can make all the difference!
But our discussion went deeper. We shed light on the often overlooked post-treatment side effects that head and neck cancer patients face. Imagine having your ability to eat, speak, drink, breathe, smile, or kiss affected – the very essence of how we interact with our loved ones and the world around us.
We were honoured to have Sabina Khan, Consultant Head and Neck Therapeutic Radiographer – Late Effects at UCLH, share her expertise on these critical issues.
A big thank you to our Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK team members, Tamara Kahn and Rozlyn Redd, for their invaluable contributions to the discussion.
We’re incredibly grateful to the Merck team for hosting such a fantastic and important event. Together, we’re raising awareness, promoting early detection, and supporting those affected by head and neck cancers.
Remember: Check your head and neck monthly. Know the symptoms. Spread the word. You could save a life – maybe even your own.
