Cancer Support Group 6 Year Anniversary
On 14th August 2024 our UK Support group on Facebook celebrated its 6th birthday.
Michelle Vickers, our Chief Awareness Officer says “when we set this group up six years ago, we could never have imagined just how amazing it would be and just how supportive you would all be to each other. For anyone who calls us wanting more information and lived experience, this is the first place we point them. We need you to know that you are fantastic and make such a difference.”
“A huge thank you from all of us here at Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK, we can’t do what we do without the contributors to this group”.
Don’t forget we have a group called Oracle Voices that is shaping and actively participating in the healthcare agenda and associated activities. This is called Patient and Public Involvement (PPI). We are leading on PPI for Head and Neck cancers in the UK and we also want ensure that the voices involved are diverse and as representative as possible of the wider patient, carer and public community. So if you have direct lived experience of Head and Neck cancer as a patient or carer, or you may just be passionate about helping us ensure that there is greater understanding of these cancers in the wider population please apply via our Oracle Voices page.
Don’t forget to check out and follow our main Facebook page and our website, you can also find us on Instagram and linked in.
