Oracle HNCUK announce 2025 Research Large Grants Programme
Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK in partnership with a family foundation, is excited to announce its Research Large Grants Programme for 2025. We’re offering up to £300,000 over three years to support innovative, hypothesis-driven research projects that address critical challenges in head and neck cancer.
Programme Goals:
- Support impactful pre-clinical research that advances understanding, prevention, early detection, or treatment of head and neck cancers.
- Foster ground breaking work, including but not limited to laboratory-based (wet lab) and bioinformatics/in silico research approaches.
- Drive innovation with a clear potential to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
- Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and support research that can lead to real-world applications.
Eligibility and Scope
- Open to principal investigators affiliated with UK universities, research institutes, or NHS organisations.
- Hypothesis-driven research in any area of head and neck cancer is eligible, with no restrictions on specific research topics.
- Projects involving clinical trials or post-clinical activities are excluded.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Scientific Merit: The quality, rigour, and novelty of the research approach.
- Impact Potential: The likelihood of delivering tangible improvements in head and neck cancer outcomes or patient care.
Funding Details
- Award Amount: Up to £300,000 over three years.
- Covers research staff salaries, consumables, and equipment.

- Call Opens: December 17, 2024
- Submission Deadline: Midnight, February 17, 2025
- Funding Decisions Announced: by May 2025
