Leadership update

After four successful years as CEO, Tamara Kahn has transformed Oracle into a respected national voice for head and neck cancer patients. She established a national presence, created a four-pillar RACE strategy (Research, Awareness, Collaboration and Patient/Community Engagement) and built strong policy influence.

With these foundations now firmly in place, Tamara will transition from her CEO role at the end of September 2025 to a strategic advisory position, continuing to lead key policy work, partnerships and special projects.

Gareth Thomas will serve as Interim CEO while a permanent Executive Director is recruited to drive day-to-day operations and strategy implementation.

Oracle’s work continues without interruption. All current programmes, partnerships and commitments remain unchanged, and the ambitious plans for 2025-26 are progressing as scheduled.

The Executive Director recruitment process will begin in early September, with an anticipated start date of February/March 2026.

We thank Tamara for her transformational leadership and look forward to this next chapter in Oracle’s evolution.
