Make Sense Campaign 2024
Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK Supports Make Sense Campaign 2024 Raising Awareness for Head and Neck Cancer
We are proud to support the Make Sense Campaign (16th – 21st September), a European initiative focused on raising awareness about head and neck cancer. This year’s theme, “Equal Access, Equal Care: Uniting Europe Against Head and Neck Cancer,” highlights the need for equality in care across Europe.
In the UK, over 34 people are diagnosed with head and neck cancer every day. To address this, we are launching key initiatives, including nationwide awareness leaflets for GPs, dentists, and community centres. We will also emphasise early diagnosis through collaborations like GatewayC, a free resource for healthcare professionals, and promote oral self-checks and the HPV vaccine.
Collaboration is key in the fight against Head and Neck Cancers
We are committed to advocacy, working with policymakers to increase awareness and support for head and neck cancer patients. Additionally, we are backing the Headstart Sentinel Node Biopsy Training Programme, which aims to standardise oral cancer diagnosis.
Our will culminate its activities by participating in the Mouth Cancer Foundation’s Walk in Hyde Park on 21st September.
We are thrilled to lead UK efforts in the Make Sense Campaign. Collaboration is key to addressing inequalities and improving outcomes for head and neck cancer patients.
