Tribute to Peter Rhys Evans
This is our tribute to Peter Rhys Evans who died in June 2022. Peter who was Founder and Chairman of Oracle Cancer Trust, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on 3rd June 2022.
Inspirational driving force
Peter was not only the inspiration and driving force behind Oracle but was also an eminent and internationally recognised Consultant ENT/Head, Neck and Thyroid Surgeon.
Peter directly saved the lives and improved outcomes for thousands of Head and Neck Cancer patients worldwide. He was also a pioneer in reconstructive surgery advancing research and practice in the field of Head and Neck cancer.
We are all eternally grateful to Peter for his outstanding contribution and he is greatly missed by so many. Peter’s energy and commitment will continue to drive the Oracle Head & Neck Cancer Board and team to ensure that head and neck cancers attract the level of recognition, resources and research nationally that their incidence and seriousness merit.
