‘Silence the threat. Give it the check’
Having launched on June 25, an estimated 40,000 passengers are being told to ‘Silence the threat. Give it the check’ in the charity’s latest campaign. EasyJet passengers are being asked to check themselves for head and neck cancer this summer as boarding passes provide information about rare cancers. We have rolled out our messaging on boarding passes for UK travellers visiting major European destinations.
Michelle Vickers, Chief Awareness Officer at Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK, said:
“It is easy to neglect your health while on holiday, but small steps can help protect you from developing cancer in the long term. Over the next few months, thousands of holidaymakers will see our messaging on easyJet boarding passes with advice as to how to check yourself for the signs for underlying cancer.”
